You may never have to plug in your plug-in EV

You may never have to plug in your plug-in E

Breakdown:

  • Sono Motors is planning to release a solar powered electric vehicle called Sion.
  • It has similar stats to a 2018 Nissan Leaf.
  • Features include output ports for charging other EVs, and a tow package.
  • Solar panels on the vehicle can give an extra 19 miles on a good day.

19 miles may not sound like much, but my daily commute is only 20 miles. That means that I would get almost 50% “fuel” savings, on top of the savings I would already see over an ICE vehicle. I really hope other EV manufacturers take notice of this.
