Voxan and Biaggi just crushed the land speed record for electric motorcycles.
The short version:
- Voxan took a modified version of their Wattman bike to France with Max Biaggi.
- Biaggi reached a top speed of 254 mph on one of the runs.
- His average top speed was 228 mph, crushing the previous record of 204 mph
- 11 more records were either set or beat by Voxan and Biaggi that day.
So here’s the deal…what does this mean for you and me? Not much, but it’s still a fun story. True, eventually some battery tech developed for this will trickle down to everyday riders, but mostly this is just about thinking, “Dang, that’s fast!” I mean 254 mph!? On a motorcycle!?!? Both your bike and your brain need to be wired a little differently from the rest of us to make that happen. Congrats to both Voxan and Biaggi.
