Porsche Taycan will start at 250kW charging.

Porsche Taycan will start at 250kW charging.

Breakdown

  • Porsche originally promised 350 kW charging, but the new Taycan will start at 250 kW
  • 350 kW charging will come in 2021
  • Porsche is still stating that with the higher charging rate, they will beable to reduce charing time to 14 minutes.
  • Other base model specs include an 80 kWh battery, and a 322bhp motor.

At this point you can’t really blame Porsche for doing what has become an industry standard. Talk a big game, release something much less exciting. Even the beloved Tesla is known for exagerated stats at press events and missing deadlines by a mile. It’s what we’ve come to expect in the extremely competitive EV market. Humph.
