Is Zero coming out with a full-fairing version of the SR/F?
The short version:
- A reader sent Asphalt & Rubber a snapshot of a fully-faired Zero SR/F.
- The photo was taken near the headquarters of Zero Motorcycles.
- Rumors of a fairing kit like this have been circulating for quite some time.
- A&R expects it to release for the 2020 model year.
I’m a little torn on this one. Typically I like the looks of a full-faired bike, but there are a few exceptions. The V-Max comes to mind. All that engine showing off makes the bike look almost awe-inspiringly grotesque. The SR/F has that same feel for me. It looks like a snarling dog that might bight you, but you can’t stop watching. Also, I’m not a huge fan of saddlebags on a sportbike. I know you can’t argue with the functionality, but I just don’t like what it does to the lines. Before I fully form an opinion, I’d like to see the bike without the bags.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments.
