Honda CEO Hachigo continues to keep his head in the sand.
The short version:
- Honda CEO Takahiro Hachigo says he doesn’t expect demand for BEVs to increase.
- Instead, “hybrid vehicles are the way to abide by different environmental regulations”.
- Hachigo also says, “The objective is not electrification, per se, but improving fuel efficiency,”
Are you kidding me?!? Amazingly, a person as successful and intelligent as Takahiro Hachigo can be so wrong about electric vehicles this late in the game. The question has already been answered. BEVs are the future of the industry. What in the world would make anybody feel differently at this point? I’m flabbergasted.
