Is Arc Motorcycles following an arc trajectory?
The short version:
- Arc Motorcycles raised around $1.1 million in crowdfunding.
- Two months later they have entered bankruptcy.
- Their proposed product, The Vector, was extreme in luxury and tech.
- Along with amazing specs the bike came with an integrated helmet and jacket that gave the rider a heads up display and haptic feedback.
It’s always hard to see an electric motorcycle company go under, but it’s inevitable. There are literally hundreds of startups in this space, and they all can’t survive. This one hurts a little more because of the timing. Two months after a successful crowdfunding campaign is a tough pill to swallow.
Were any TME readers investors in Arc? Anybody put some money into the campaign? I’m interested in your thoughts on this.
