The short version:
- Cinnaminson, NJ has turned a landfill into a solar farm.
- The site has 32,490 solar panels and can generate 13 megawatts.
- The site can generate enough power for 1,300 to 2,600 homes.
- It has been a joint project between the EPA, Waste Management, and PSE&G
There is so much usable land if we are just a little more creative on where to find it. Turning a landfill into a solar farm is genius, and we need to have more projects like it.
